IND vs AFG: Dates confirmed for India-Afghanistan ODI series, senior players including Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to rest. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah had previously stated: “The media rights bidding will launch as scheduled this year (June-July) and will depend on the Afghanistan tour, but the process is more likely to start with the Australia series (in September).

“The Board will speak to all stakeholders involved and make an interim decision (for the broadcaster),” Shah had said during a select media interaction.

It will be exciting to see if BCCI launches a bid for just the Afghanistan series given that the broadcast contract between BCCI and Star expired at the end of March.
