Jasprit Bumrah castled Mohammad Rizwan with an absolute beauty to give India a breakthrough against Pakistan in the ongoing 19th game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

India’s pace spearhead would have taken the wicket of Rizwan in his first over after forcing him to hit Shivam Dube straight at fine leg. However, Dube did not get an easy catch and India paid a heavy price for it. In a low scoring game, Rizwan scored 31 runs before Jasprit Bumrah finally dismissed him in the 15th over.

After bowling two overs in the powerplay, Jasprit Bumrah was reintroduced into the attack for the 15th over as India desperately needed a breakthrough. And his star pacer responded in style by dismissing Rizwan in the first ball of the over.

It was an angled delivery from Bumrah and Rizwan decided to take an aggressive shot. However, the ball stayed a little low and Rizwan couldn’t make any contact with the ball. The ball ended up crashing into the stumps. The Pakistan keeper-batsman departed after scoring 31 runs off 44 balls with the help of a four and a six.

Speaking of the game, it is very well prepared at the moment. At the time of writing, Pakistan were 89 for 5 and still need 31 runs off 20 balls. Imad Wasim and Iftikhar Ahmed were fighting for Pakistan in the middle.

Early in the game, India were bowled out for 119 runs after being asked to bat first on the difficult pitch. At one stage, India were comfortably at 89 for 3 in the 12th over and looked destined to post a total close to 150 runs. However, they suffered an inexplicable collapse and found themselves reeling at 96 for 7 before being dismissed for 119.
