South African player Tabraiz Shamsi has been his team’s bowler in international cricket and has picked wickets for the Proteas in white-ball cricket. Shamsi, being a left-arm wrist spinner, has probably taken up the legacy of veteran South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir and has helped his partner Keshav Maharaj well.

Tabraiz Shamsi was part of the T20I squad for the India vs South Africa series and performed his trademark celebration during the second match of the series. South Africa had won the match by five wickets. Shamsi celebrated with a shoe after dismissing Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav.

However, in an exclusive conversation with Cricbuzz, Tabraiz Shamsi revealed that he and his wife had to face a lot of online abuse after that celebration. Shamsi claimed that people took it negatively and probably thought it was disrespectful towards the Indian captain.

Tabraiz Shamsi said: “People took it negatively; They thought it was disrespectful. They insulted me a lot. It was probably the worst I’ve ever been. There were also insults against my wife. I didn’t appreciate it. She is out of place. “It’s okay if you want to criticize the players, but involving the family and saying nasty things, that takes it to another level.”

“I feel like if players don’t say anything about it, then people think they have a free license. More people need to speak up and say it’s not okay. Yes, we are all doing our best. Yes, your team may not win or you may not agree with certain things. But you must behave like a human being. “You can’t behave like an animal.”

Tabraiz Shamsi held the shoe in his hand and then held it to his ear and used it as a phone after dismissing Suryakumar Yadav. The second IND vs SA T20I match was a rain-affected affair where, batting first, the Indian team had scored 180/7 in 19.3 overs. South Africa were set for a revised total of 154 runs, which they chased down with ease in 13.4 overs for six. plenty of windows. However, the Indian team came back strong and won the third T20I match by 106 runs. After the T20I series ended in a draw, the Indian team was able to take the ODI series 2-1 after winning the first and third ODI matches. The Indian team will now try to win their first Test series on South African soil as the first Test match began on December 26.

The Indian cricket team has never won a test series in South Africa and lost the last two series they played here 2-1. The Indian team has the best chance to end their curse and create history by winning the two-match Freedom series. The first Test Match will be played at the SuperSport Park in Centurion.
