Indian batsman Virat Kohli was at his best during Day 1 of the ongoing second Test against South Africa. The match between the two teams will take place at Newlands Park in Cape Town.

Virat Kohli entertained the crowd with his antics on Day 1. The batsman kept the intensity high on the field as his team’s players were all over the South African batsmen. The Proteas seem clueless against the India pacers, who took 13 wickets.

Apart from keeping the intensity high, Virat Kohli was also at his best. One of the moments came during the end of Day 1, when Mukesh Kumar almost caught South African batsman Tristan Stubbs.

Mukesh Kumar bowled a good length delivery from outside off. Tristan Stubbs stepped up to defend, but the ball stayed low and went under his bat. Seeing the low ball, Virat Kohli couldn’t believe it as he made a hilarious face and that caught the attention of many.

In the video that went viral on the internet, Virat Kohli is seen removing his sunglasses and then making a face. His reaction even left commentators divided. The batsman himself had a good laugh when his reaction was shown on the big screen.

Virat Kohli’s reaction came to the invariable bounce on the pitch. For most of the time, the ball bounced a lot and a totally low pitch came as a surprise to many. Players from both sides enjoyed bowling on day 1.

India were asked to bowl first and had a sensational outing in the first innings. They beat South Africa by just 55 runs. Mohammed Siraj picked 6 wickets while Jasprit Bumrah and Mukesh Kumar also picked two wickets each.

South Africa’s bowlers also had a great performance with the ball as they defeated India for just 153 runs, conceding a lead of 98 runs. Kagiso Rabada, Nandre Burger and Lungi Ngidi picked three wickets with the ball to dismantle the Indian bowling lineup.

Virat Kohli continued his golden touch with the bat and had another decent outing. He scored 46 runs and was 4 runs short of his deserved half-century. His innings came at a vital time for the team and helped them take a comfortable lead in the first innings.

Virat Kohli got out while trying to score runs as wickets were falling at the other end. After his wicket, India did their best in no time. But they had another sensational outing with the ball in the second innings. The Pacers once again showed their class and put pressure on South Africa.

Mukesh Kumar picked two wickets while Jasprit Bumrah bagged the scalp. On Day 1, South Africa were 62/3 and are still 36 runs behind India’s total.
