According to various media reports, BCCI is supposed to have set its base price for sponsorship rights at Rs 350 crore. The base price for sponsorship of bilateral matches with India is Rs 3 crore per match, while the base price for sponsorship of ICC and ACC tournaments is Rs 1 crore per match, reports the Economic Times.

BCCI launched the tender on June 14 and will be available for purchase until June 26. Adidas recently became the title sponsor of the India team’s jerseys in three formats. BCCI had short-term agreements with MPL and BYJU as sponsors for a short period.

“BCCI has set a realistic base price for title sponsor rights. The advertising market is tough and new age sponsors who were spending big money on cricket have slashed their marketing budgets due to the funding winter.” said the expert on condition of anonymity, quoted by the Economic Times.

The report further said that an estimated amount close to Rs 2,000-2,500 crore will be available in on-ground inventory in IPL and bilateral matches according to Vinit Karnik, GroupM South Asia director of sports, esports and entertainment.

Talking about the next team from India international assignment, India will tour the West Indies at the end of July this year for a multi-format bilateral series. The India tour of the West Indies 2023 in July will comprise of the IND vs WI ODI series, IND vs WI T20I series and IND vs WI Test series.

The Test series will witness 2 matches, the ODI series will see 3 games and the T20I series will consist of 5 matches. The schedule for the series has yet to be announced by both cricket boards. ICC has confirmed the tour under the Futures Tour (FTP) program.

India and West Indies last played an ODI series in July 2022. During the away series, India won all 3 games against West Indies. This time too, the men in blue will look for a similar result.
