“The most impressive catch I felt was from Yashasvi Jaiswal on the short leg. I think there are a couple of important things to note in that capture. First of all, it was kept very low. That’s a first sign of being a good short-leg fielder.”

T Dilip further noted that even after batting for five sessions, he played short leg, which is never easy, commenting that despite missing a catch early, he kept his focus, which impressed him.
“I think he’s done very well on that. But what I really liked was when you look at his hitting. He scored 171 and was on the field for nearly a day and a half. It’s never easy to come back and then play the short leg position.
“Another thing that impressed me was that, for a little kid, he missed the catch early on when the same batter was at 0. Refocusing and coming back and staying alert while making a better catch was something that really impressed me. ”
As for his batting, Yashasvi Jaiswal had a dream debut for India when he played a sensational 171-run strike and heralded his arrival on the international stage in style.
He broke quite a few records and hit for over 387 balls, showing determination and composure. He was also awarded Man of the Match for his heroism.
