The mother of West Indies goalkeeper Joshua Da Silva has become the talk of the town since she revealed that she is a huge fan of Indian superstar Virat Kohli. The wicketkeeper-batsman made the revelation as Virat Kohli was batting on the first day of the ongoing second Test between India and the West Indies in Trinidad.

Joshua Da Silva was constantly talking from behind the stumps as Virat batted. At first, he seemed like he was trying to get under the former Indian captain’s skin to upset him. However, the microphone on the stump made things very clear, as the goalie expressed his and his mother’s admiration for Virat.

He was heard telling the India batsman to complete his century. And later, he too was heard saying into the microphone that his mother told him he was going to Queen’s Park Oval to see Virat Kohli bat.

“My mom told me on the phone that she is coming to see Virat and not me. That’s literally what my mom said. She couldn’t believe it. I don’t blame her to be honest. She’s up there watching.” Joshua said.

Well, Joshua’s mother not only came to see Virat Kohli’s bat, she also met him and the moment was just beautiful. Virat made sure to greet her warmly during their meeting. As the Indian star approached her, she hugged him and kissed him on the cheek before excitedly asking someone to click a photo of the moment.

He hugged Virat once more before the India batsman boarded the team bus. And the moment of her touched her a lot when she was seen shedding some tears while she was giving an interview.

Speaking of the game, West Indies they have finally shown some wrestling with the bat. Having gone all-in for 150 and 130 in the first Test on Dominica, the hosts started their first innings in the second innings on a fine note. Captain Kraigg Brathwaite and Tagenarine Chanderpaul shared a 71-run stand for the first wicket before Ravindra Jadeja dismissed the last for 33.

At stumps, the West Indies were at 86 to 1, trailing India by 352 runs. Early in the game, a century from Virat Kohli and fifty from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin helped India amass a grand total of 438 runs.
