"India knows how to bounce back"- Twitter reacts as Shubman Gill’s team crush Zimbabwe by 100 runs

Fans on Twitter reacted after the Indian National Cricket Team staged a dominant comeback in the five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. They won the second game by 100 runs at the Harare Sports Club in Harare on Sunday (July 7).

Opting to bat, India did not have a great start to the innings as they lost captain Shubman Gill for just two runs. But after that, it was all about young opener Abhishek Sharma (100). The opening batsman hit a brutal century and took the game away from the opposition.

Ruturaj Gaikwad (77*) supported him well and they added 137 runs for the second wicket. Earlier, Rinku Singh (48*) played a brutal cameo. Riding on the sensational effort, they posted a total of 234 for two.

Zimbabwe did not get off to a great start with the bat either, as they lost Innocent Kaia early. After that, Wessly Madhevere (43) and Brian Bennett (26) batted well, but after their 36-run partnership, nothing came in the host’s way.

They lost wickets at regular intervals and were under pressure. Luke Jongwe (33) played a vital role but could not take his team home as India bowled out the opposition for 134 runs and won the game by 100 runs.

For India, Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan picked up three wickets each. Apart from them, Ravi Bishnoi chipped in with two wickets while Washington Sundar got one as they closed out the innings in 19 overs. Overall, it was a sensational performance by Team India after suffering a 13-run defeat in the first match.
