India takes on the United States in match 25 of the T20 World Cup 2024 in New York on Wednesday, June 12. This is India’s third consecutive match in New York. This is also his first T20I international match against USA.

After back-to-back wins against Ireland and Pakistan, India would like to confirm their Super 8 spot with a win over the United States. The minnows have certainly made a statement with a win over Pakistan and are now setting their sights on India.

India defended 120, which is the lowest total they have successfully defended in men’s T20Is. The victory took them to the top of the Group A points table.

Rohit Sharma is keen to win this World T20 after the heartbreaking defeat in the final. He came in with a good combination of all-rounders along with batsmen and had batting depth up to eight. Also in this match they could end up with the same combination.

The reason why India would like to improve their batting line-up is because the New York Stadium pitch has shown constant variable bounce. The batsmen could hit one for two and in case India lose wickets early, they want to have the cushion of their batting depth to score at least 160.

The average first innings score at this venue has not even been 150 so far in this tournament and players like Rohit and Virat will lie to get some runs.
