India won the third Test against England which was played at the Niranjan Shah Cricket Stadium in Rajkot and are now ahead in the series by 2-1. Ravindra Jadeja took a quinfa in the second innings to end the match on a high. He scored a century and scored a fifty in this Test match at his home in Rajkot. Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first. India got off to a shaky start losing three first wickets.

Ravindra Jadeja and Rohit Sharma added 204 runs for the fourth wicket in the first innings as Rohit Sharma scored 131 and Ravindra Jadeja scored 112. India posted a total of 445 in the first innings and in reply England got off to a good start when Ben Duckett scored 153 off 151 deliveries but England were bowled out for 319. India in the second innings declared 430/4. giving a target of 557 runs to England as Yashasvi Jaiswal lit up the wicket with another double century scoring 214 off 236 deliveries.

Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel made their Test debut in this match and performed impressively in the game as Sarfaraz scored 62 and 68 in the respective innings and Dhruv Jurel scored 46 in the first innings. Jurel was also brilliant behind the wicket. India and England will now lock horns at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) stadium in Ranchi for the fourth Test of this five-match series. India has taken the lead in the test series and their aim is to win the series to make it 17 consecutive test series wins in India.

Fans have shown their joy over the victory at ‘X’ as they tweet about the historic victory by 434 runs. England were all out for 122 in the second innings as Ravindra Jadeja took five wickets and showcased his prowess in front of his home crowd. Fans are happy with the team’s performance without the presence of star players like Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Mohammed Shami.
