Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batted first and made sure they got off to a good start with the bat. Virat Kohli and captain Faf du Plessis (44) added 125 runs for the opening partnership but after the captain got out, RCB lost quick wickets.
Virat Kohli (113), on the other hand, continued to bat with the same intensity and made sure to bring his team the competitive total on the board. He registered his eighth IPL ton and propelled Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a total of 183 runs on the board. For Rajasthan Royals, Yuzvendra Chahal picked two wickets.
Rajasthan Royals couldn’t get off to a good start with the bat. Yashasvi Jaiswal got a two-ball duck and it was a horrendous start with the bat. However, after that, Jos Buttler and captain Sanju Samson ensured their team got back into the game with their sensational partnership.
Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler took full control of the innings and made sure to put pressure on the opponents. The duo batted incredibly well and added 148 runs for the second wicket before the captain hit 69 runs off Mohammed Siraj.
Jos Buttler, on the other hand, continued his killing spree at Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He made a magnificent century and finished with an unbeaten innings of 100 runs. His valiant effort with the bat saw Rajasthan Royals claim their fourth consecutive victory in the Indian Premier League 2024.
