Indian cricket team’s batting superstar Virat Kohli’s aggression on the cricket field is simply a treat to watch for cricket fans. Kohli, known for his fiery demeanor, brings unmatched energy to the game, and that is what he is doing in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

The handsome right-hander’s passion for the game has often manifested itself through his lively celebrations, fierce expressions and vocal encouragement to his teammates during games. Kohli’s ability to channel his aggression into match-winning performances is out of this world, winning numerous memorable matches and inspiring his team to play with similar intensity.

However, during Team India’s second Super-8 match of the T20 World Cup 2024 in Antigua, Kohli did not give it back to Bangladesh pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib after the latter gave him a fiery send-off.

Sakib actually gave a clean shot to Kohli at 37 after he came out to push the ball for offside in Antigua. After landing the big fish, Sakib burst into aggressive celebration, glaring at Indian batting maestro Kohli and dismissing him with a fiery reaction.

However, Team India won that Super-8 clash by 50 runs against Bangladesh, but this heated moment stole the show, with Sakib’s celebration in Kohli’s face quickly going viral on social media.

Meanwhile, Kesrick Williams, the West Indies pacer known for his famous ‘notebook’ celebration, has shared his thoughts on Sakib’s aggressive celebration of Kohli’s wicket during the India versus Bangladesh T20 World Cup Super-8 clash 2024 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

In reality, Williams himself became a victim of Kohli’s revenge after he brought out his trademark ‘notebook’ celebration to celebrate the former Indian captain’s wicket during Team India’s tour of the West Indies in 2017.

They were even involved in a funny sledding incident. After dismissing Kohli during a series of limited overs, Williams brought out an imaginary celebration in a notebook, practically writing down the Indian star’s name and crossing it off the list.

This peculiar parting did not sit well with Kohli, setting the stage for a dramatic rematch a few months later when the West Indies toured India. He did the same with Williams during a T20I match in Hyderabad.

The handsome right-handed batsman was eager to get revenge on Williams, and eventually unleashed a brutal assault on the West Indies pacer, scoring 32 runs in just 12 deliveries, giving him a taste of his own medicine by mimicking his trademark notebook celebration.

Kohli had been pretending to write in an imaginary notebook and marking Williams’ name. With the Indian star giving a powerful statement about her batting prowess, the incident quickly became a talking point around the world.

Now, something similar was done by Tanzim with Kohli and the West Indies pacer warned the Bangladesh pacer to be ready to face the consequences of his folly. Williams responded to a meme featuring an edited image of him that appeared to warn Tanzim to be prepared for a similar attack from Kohli when the two teams meet again.

In a rather unexpected reaction, the West Indian pacer wrote: “Kez 2-1 Kohli”, indicating his joyful acknowledgment of the rivalry.
