The conversation between Mumbai Indians (MI) opener Rohit Sharma and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) coach Abhishek Nayar went viral on social media. However, the Kolkata Knight Riders removed the video of the conversation between Rohit Sharma and Abhishek Nayar from social media.

Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Mumbai Indians at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday, May 11. The Shreyas Iyer-led team emerged winners when they last played against the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Rohit Sharma came in as an impact player during the previous match between the two teams. The veteran opener scored 11 runs off 12 balls, including a six, before being dismissed. However, the 37-year-old has fond memories of playing at this venue and is aiming for a memorable goal.

Mera Toh Latest Hai – Rohit Sharma

Before the match between MI and KKR, Rohit Sharma met Abhishek Nayar and their conversation caught attention. Rohit expressed his displeasure with the changes that Mumbai Indians have undergone in the last few months. He hinted at his last stint with Mumbai in the tournament.

“Ek ek cheez is changing ho raha hai… (Everything is changing one by one). Woh unke upar hai, main ye sab pe dhyaan nahi data… (It depends on them, I don’t care about that),” Rohit said.

“What is there, that is my house brother, that is the temple that I have built. (Whatever it is, it is my home. It is a temple that I have built),” he added.

“Bhai mera kya, mera toh last hai (anyway, this is the last one),” he further stated.

Hardik Pandya named MI captain ahead of IPL 2024

Rohit Sharma was removed from the MI captaincy last year despite guiding the team to five tournament titles. Rohit was named captain midway through the 2013 season. All-rounder Hardik Pandya, who joined the team in a commercial deal ahead of the IPL 2024 auction, was named captain.

The Mumbai team has struggled under Hardik’s captaincy in the ongoing tournament. The team led by Hardik Pandya is currently in ninth place in the points table, having achieved only four wins in 12 matches played. MI became the first team to be eliminated from playoff contention.

Earlier this week, reports suggested that senior players including Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav had expressed concerns over Hardik Pandya’s captaincy. Additionally, some actors engaged in conversations with senior management to discuss changes in strategy and approach.
