Virat Kohli and Aakash Chopra

Former India and Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Aakash Chopra feels Virat Kohli will get back to his scoring spree later today when RCB take on KKR in a reverse match at Eden Gardens.

Chopra also stated that any team Kohli plays for cannot be bad as he highlighted that the Bengaluru team has not performed as expected this season. Faf du Plessis also appears to be back in form and the South Indians will be looking for nothing less than a win today.

A win is what RCB and Virat Kohli will be desperate to achieve. The team is on a 5-match winless streak in IPL 2024 and their only win of the season came a month ago against Punjab Kings on March 25. Bengaluru are 10th in the points table and even a win tonight won’t take them higher in the table.

But a win could ignite the team’s dead threads and perhaps they can begin to orchestrate a turnaround starting with this match. At least that’s what Mo Bobat and Andy Flower hope.

What did Aakash Chopra say about Virat Kohli?

While talking in his latest YouTube video about the preparation and pre-match analysis of KKR Vs RCB, Aakash Chopra had encouraging words for Virat Kohli, but not for RCB.

Chopra stated that the team is not even close to good and the only thing that makes them a good team is Kohli’s presence. In short, the 38-year-old stated that Kohli is the reason why RCB still have a chance of a comeback and Chopra also had some positive words for captain du Plessis.

“Bangalore is a good team but they are not playing well. How come they are good? It is because they have Virat Kohli in batting and a team that has Virat Kohli cannot be bad. Faf du Plessis is not a bad player either. “He played well. Also in the last game, Faf’s season has been above expectations, taking into account the state of form in which he arrived, but the team has not played well.” -said Aakash Chopra in his latest YouTube video.

Chopra backs Kohli to score runs

Aakash Chopra also stated that for RCB, Virat Kohli will be back in the scoring charts as he is the only in-form batsman at the moment.

The 38-year-old stated that the former RCB captain will have fun batting at the Eden Gardens as the flat pitch will suit his cause and it is normal for an iconic player to score runs at an iconic venue.

“A broken record will start playing once again. I am saying Virat Kohli once again because there is no player apart from Virat Kohli who is scoring runs consistently. So once again you will expect from Virat Kohli as he is a bit a grudge match and Eden Gardens suits him. It’s no fun if an iconic player doesn’t score runs on an iconic ground.” – Chopra concluded.
