Virat Kohli lost his cool and was involved in a heated exchange with the on-field umpires after his controversial dismissal in the ongoing game between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

The former RCB captain came out firing and scored 18 runs off just 6 balls. He hit Harshit Rana for a six and a four in the first over to get going. In the second over, he hit Mitchell Starc for six. However, he could not convert his start into a big score as Harshit Rana sent him back in the first ball of the third over.

The right-arm pacer bowled a high delivery and Virat Kohli ended up offering an easy catch to the pacer. It was an easy catch and Harshit Rana made no mistake while catching the ball. The on-field umpire raised his finger but Virat Kohli immediately checked it as he was sure that the ball was above his waist and it was not a ball.

However, it was a slower delivery from the KKR pacer and he was going down. Replays showed that the ball would have been below Virat Kohli’s waist if he had been in his normal stance. The right-handed batsman was also batting outside the crease. As a result, the third umpire asked the on-field umpire to stand by his original decision.

The former India captain was furious with the decision and decided to express his opinion to the umpire. He was seen having a heated argument with the referee before walking off the field shaking his head in disappointment.
