Indian National Cricket Team Head coach Rahul Dravid has proposed the name of the all-format captain. Rohit Sharma as the best six hit produced by the country.

Rohit Sharma is undoubtedly one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket and has shown his class in all three formats of the game. The Indian captain does not hesitate to knock players down with his perfectly timed strikes in all types of conditions.

Rohit Sharma has already broken numerous six-hitters’ records and leads the list of players with the most six-hitters in international cricket. The opening batsman has already reached a high of 597 across all formats and is nearing the milestone of 600 sixes.

The Indian national cricket team will not play any international matches until June and the veteran batsman will hope to achieve the feat when India enters the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and USA.

Talking about the most sixes in his career list, West Indies legend Chris Gayle comes second and is followed by Shahid Afridi, Brendon McCullum and Martin Guptill as they have hit 553, 476, 398 and 383 sixes respectively.

Rohit Sharma smashed 103 runs off 162 balls, with 13 fours and 3 sixes, in the fifth Test against England in Dharamsala and played a key role in his team’s victory by an innings and 64 runs. Indian batsmen hit many sixes during the Test series and speaking at Jio Cinema after the match, head coach Rahul Dravid was asked to share his opinion on the matter, he laughed and said, “I only show you videos of me, man. So now they’re hitting six.”

He further said that they have a player of Rohit Sharma’s caliber in the team who has phenomenal six-hitting skills.

“But it’s incredible to watch and it’s a facet of the game that’s on a different level. We have someone (Rohit Sharma) who is the best six-hitter India has ever produced. It’s phenomenal: the six-punch power, the skill and the skill. Every time they hit the ball, it seems to go out. It’s amazing.”

In total, 102 sixes were hit during the India vs England Tests: the hosts hit 72 and the visitors hit 30. This was the first case in the history of Test cricket where a century high was broken.
