The World Cup winning batsman suggested that Rinku Singh should establish himself in domestic cricket before being considered for the national team.
“Rinku Singh’s story is inspiring and he has also performed well. But he does not select anyone after one season ”, further stated.
“Let Rinku score runs in the domestic season and then come back to the IPL and score runs again and if he is consistent then you can think about adding him to the Indian team.” He concluded.
Rinku Singh was one of the best finds in the latest edition of the IPL. The left-handed batsman scored 474 runs at an average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.53, including four half centuries.
