Harshit Rana came up with an interesting celebration after dismissing KL Rahul during the game between Lucknow Super Giants and Kolkata Knight Riders in Lucknow.

The right-arm pacer had missed KKR’s last match against Mumbai Indians due to suspension. He was fined 100% of his match fee and suspended for one game for violating the IPL Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Delhi Capitals last week.

While the IPL did not reveal the reason for Harshit Rana’s fine and suspension, he could have been punished for his dismissal of DC batsman Abishek Porel. After dismissing him in the seventh over, Harshit Rana had told the batsman to return to the dressing room with a hand gesture. It was his second violation of the season. Earlier, he was fined 60% of his match fee for dismissing Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman Mayank Agarwal at Eden Gardens.

Harshit Rana’s celebration after KL Rahul’s dismissal:

All eyes were on Harshit as he returned to action on Sunday (May 5) for the match against LSG. He bowled a good first over, conceding just eight runs in the last over of the powerplay. In his second over, he took the big wicket of KL Rahul to give KKR a crucial breakthrough.

And as soon as he dismissed Rahul, the 22-year-old decided to celebrate quietly. While he did not sack Rahul, he decided to criticize the IPL officials by proposing the ‘silence’ celebration while he put his finger on his lips.

Talking about the game, LSG was at 85 for 4 in the 10th over at the time of writing this report. Earlier in the game, KKR amassed a massive total of 235 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs after being asked to bat first. KKR became the first team to reach the 200-run mark at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. Sunil Narine starred with the bat for KKR, scoring 81 off just 39 balls to lay the foundation for the grand total.
