Delhi Capitals assistant coach Pravin Amre provided an update on the fitness of the three injured players.

Currently, three key DC players – Mukesh Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav and Mitchell Marsh are sidelined due to injuries. Both Mukesh Kumar and Mitchell Marsh are sidelined with hamstring injuries, while Kuldeep Yadav is out of action due to a groin problem.

Marsh began the season as an opener before dropping to number three when Prithvi Shaw was called up to the playing eleven for the third game against Chennai Super Kings. He was injured in the fourth game against Kolkata Knight Riders while bowling. He came out to bat, but was out for a two-ball duck.

On the other hand, Kuldeep Yadav has not played since the second match of the season. As far as Mukesh Kumar is concerned, he has missed the last two matches. Giving an update on the trio, Pravin Amre said that Mitchell Marsh’s injury is a big concern and stated that both Kuldeep Yadav and Mukesh Kumar will return to action soon.

Pravin Kumar offers update:

Speaking after DC’s loss against Mumbai Indians on Sunday (April 7), Pravin Amre said: “Some of our players are injured and the worrying sign is Mitch Marsh.

“He has gone for a scan and the physiotherapists will give us a report within a week. Then we will know what the exact situation is. If you can [play the entire season] It depends or not on the reports,” he added.

Amre further said that while Kuldeep is expected to miss “one or two more games”, Mukesh Kumar will be available from the next game.

“We have to start winning, but some injuries have set us back. In the first game, Ishant [Sharma] I couldn’t bowl two overs. Then Mukesh was injured. Kuldeep has not played three matches. Marsh has a hamstring injury. They are our main players and whoever comes [in for them]They are not as effective because there are players A against players B”, said the former India batsman.

Meanwhile, DC suffered their fourth defeat in the fifth game of IPL 2024 as MI defeated them by 29 runs. Chasing an improbable 235, DC finished their innings with 205/8.
