“Don’t get me wrong, India are an absolutely superstar team and extremely challenging, but I’m extremely hungry to turn things around and make sure we get that trophy back,” the 36-year-old added.

Nathan Lyon showed confidence in his team’s abilities and felt Australia is on track to become a great cricket team in the coming years.

“We feel like we’re a different team to the one we were a couple of years ago. We’re on the path to becoming a big Australian cricket team. We’re definitely not there yet, but we’re on the path and we’ve been playing some decent cricket,” Nathan Lyon said.

India’s final tour of Australia

Despite injuries to the players, the youngsters stood firm and kept fighting till the end. As a result, India broke Australia’s 32-year dominance at the Gabba and took the series 2-1.
