CSK, however, thrashed PBKS by 28 runs to return to winning ways and entered the top four in the points table of IPL 2024. They are currently at the third spot with six wins and five losses.

Asked to bat first, CSK finished their innings on 167 for 9. Ravindra Jadeja top-scored with the bat for CSK, scoring 43, while Ruturaj Gaikwad (32) and Daryl Mitchell (30) also played crucial knocks. For PBKS, Rahul Chahar and Harshal got three wickets each.
