MS Dhoni fails with the bat but CSK wins:

Talking about MS Dhoni’s performance with the bat in the match, the former CSK captain failed to get going. Harshal Patel bowled it cleanly for a golden duck in CSK’s 19th innings. CSK, however, thrashed PBKS by 28 runs to return to winning ways and entered the top four in the points table of IPL 2024. They are currently at the third spot with six wins and five losses.

Asked to bat first, CSK finished their innings on 167 for 9. Ravindra Jadeja top-scored with the bat for CSK, scoring 43, while Ruturaj Gaikwad (32) and Daryl Mitchell (30) also played crucial knocks. For PBKS, Rahul Chahar and Harshal got three wickets each.

CSK bowlers then restricted PBKS to 139 for 9 to propel their team to a crucial victory. At one stage, PBKS were reeling at 90 for 8 before useful contributions from lower-order players helped them finish their innings with a respectable total.
