Virat Kohli, on Thursday (May 9), starred with the bat in Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s emphatic 60-run victory over Punjab Kings at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Stadium in Dharamshala.

After Faf du Plessis and Will Jacks departed cheaply in the powerplay, Virat Kohli took charge of the innings and played an impressive knock of 92 runs. Kohli was cautious after the first wickets fell and completed his fifty in 32 balls.

However, he changed gears after reaching fifty and scored 40 runs in the next 14 balls before being dismissed by his India teammate Arshdeep Singh. Virat Kohli’s 92-run knock was studded with seven fours and six sixes. Thanks to his impressive knock, RCB posted a daunting total of 241/7 in the allotted 20 overs before bowling out PBKS for 181 to win the game by 60 runs.

After the match, Virat Kohli made a touching gesture for the PBKS players. While he was at his competitive best during the game, the former India captain made sure to give a nice surprise to some of the family members of the PBKS players after the game.

He met the parents and other relatives of some PBKS players like Arshdeep and Harpreet Brar. In a video posted by PBKS on their social media accounts, Kohli was seen greeting the family members with folded hands. There were smiles all around as Kohli posed for some photos and was also seen striking up a happy conversation.
