Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batsman Virat Kohli played a crucial role for his team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against the Gujarat Titans (GT). The match between the two teams took place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Chasing 148 runs, Virat Kohli took his team to a good start with the bat. The first batsman came out firing and made sure to put his opponents at a disadvantage right from the start and set the tone for his team in the chase at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis (64) wreaked havoc on the Gujarat Titans bowlers and added 92 runs for the opening partnership within the powerplay. But once the captain got out, the Shubman Gill-led team made a solid comeback and picked four wickets to put pressure on the hosts.
However, Virat Kohli, on the one hand, tried to keep his team in the hunt. However, he too could not continue for long as Noor Ahmed pulled him out to silence the crowd at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The leg-spinner removed the batsman in the 11th over and put his team in first position.
Noor Ahmad bowled a floated delivery that was full and outside off. Virat Kohli bent down and opened the face of the bat as he tried to get it between the sheets. The ball drifted away and took a weak outside edge which was safely tucked away behind the stumps by Wrddhiman Saha.
Not just the crowd but also Virat Kohli’s wife Anushka Sharma, who was sitting in the stands, looked stunned. She couldn’t believe what happened when her wicket saw Royal Challengers Bengaluru lose their sixth wicket in 20 minutes.
