Former West Indies legend Ian Bishop has attacked a fake fan post on X that alleged he rated Rishabh Pant better than Sanju Samson. Ian Bishop revealed that he never made those comments during the live commentary of the IPL 2024 LSG vs DC game on Friday, April 12.
Rishabh Pant played a valuable knock during the LSG vs DC clash. The DC captain scored 41 runs off 24 balls and helped his team win the match while chasing 168. The Delhi Capitals, led by Rishabh Pant, won the match by 6 wickets to claim their second victory of IPL 2024.
Interestingly, there is a tight competition among Indian goalkeepers to get a place in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 squad. The World Cup will take place right after the IPL 2024 in June. Therefore, players who perform well in IPL can get a place in the Indian team for the tournament.

Ian Bishop attacks X fans over fake post
Ian Bishop is one of the commentators for Star Sports during IPL 2024. He was the commentator during Friday’s LSG vs DC clash. After the match, a fan shared a photo of Ian Bishop in X and wrote: “Ian Bishop on live commentary. “Anything Samson can do, Rishabh Pant can do better. He’s spitting out facts.”
When another fan asked Bishop if he had made such comments, he rejected the claims. “Do you really think that’s how I operate?” replied the bishop. Take a look at the two tweets below.

Meanwhile, Ian Bishop also praised the Mumbai Indians pacer. jasprit bumrah on Twitter after his impeccable five-wicket haul against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the previous match. He called Bumrah a “walking banker who cuts across formats”.
