Sarfaraz Ahmed breaks silence on reports of transfer from Pakistan to UK with dismay

Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed has denied reports of him leaving Pakistan and settling in the United Kingdom. He rubbished fake news and stated that media should confirm before publishing made-up news.

On Saturday (January 20), media reports in Pakistan shook the entire cricket fraternity. According to reports, it is learned that former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has migrated to the UK with his entire family and will not stay in Pakistan.

Sarfaraz Ahmed reportedly took the decision because he was hopeless about his participation in the Pakistan team and was told that he would not play any more matches. Therefore, he decided to move out of his homeland but would continue playing in the Pakistan Super League.

Sarfaraz Khan recently played for Pakistan in the test series against Australia. He played the first game and then was out for the last two games. The keeper-batsman scored only 7 runs in that game and was replaced by Mohammad Rizwan, who did a decent job, scoring 193 runs in four innings at an average of 48.25.

The news of Sarfaraz Ahmed’s departure from Pakistan sparked a lot of reactions. Both the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the wicketkeeper-batsman received a lot of criticism for his development. This raised a lot of surprises and made me question the decision.

However, with all the speculations out there, Sarfaraz Ahmed quashed all the reports and criticized all the reports related to the same, saying that it is sad to see fake news circulating. Speaking to Samma Digital, he explained:

“I can’t even think about leaving Pakistan. Please confirm before posting such made up news. It is sad to see news like this.”

Sarfaraz Ahmed, however, has been a great servant of Pakistan. He led the team to victory in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Apart from that, he also played some crucial knocks for the team. As a leader, he was also exceptional and led the team to some famous victories and is also the winning captain of the U19 World Cup.

Sarfraz Ahmed also expressed his desire to play for Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The wicketkeeper-batsman is ready to play for the team in the upcoming tournament. The wicketkeeper-batsman would be eager to make his mark and claim authority from him.

So far, Sarfaraz has played against Pakistan in 54 Tests, 117 ODIs and 61 T20Is. The wicketkeeper-batsman has scored 3031 runs in the longest format of the match at an average of 37.41.
