KKR reaches the final:

Talking about the match against SRH, KKR thrashed the Hyderabad team in the first qualifier match to book their place in the final. The two-time IPL champions thoroughly dominated the competition and qualified for the final for the fourth time.

Except for the toss, everything went well for the Shreyas Iyer-led team. By bowling first, KKR defeated high-flying SRH for a modest total of 159 runs. At one stage, SRH were reeling at 126 for 9 before Pat Cummins’ 30-run knock helped them post a total of over 150. Mitchell Starc starred in the ball, taking three big wickets in the powerplay, while which in-form spinner Varun Chakravarthy claimed two.

In response, KKR chased down the total in less than 14 overs and lost just two wickets. Captain Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer scored unbeaten fifty goals to take their team home in style. KKR will now face the winner of the second qualifying match in the final. SRH will face either Rajasthan Royals or Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the final.
