“Are you getting married soon, Shubh?” Morrison asked. Gill immediately responded: “No, nothing like that.”

Shubman Gill has been leading the Gujarat Titans for the third season and has also been delivering with the bat as this year’s IPL is a great opportunity for him to get back into the mix for the Indian T20I team after being dropped ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.

Having led the team to five wins so far this season, a sixth win against Punjab Kings today would surely level their points tally with the likes of Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who have played a game less.
