I was just planning my innings, I was not thinking of a century – Rajat Patidar

Rajat Patidar, who played a brutal innings of 50 runs off 20 balls, spoke about his knock and said he was planning his innings and taking it ball by ball. He also spoke about his 4 sixes against Mayank Markande, saying that he tried to maximize the over.

Rajat Patidar also spoke about the conditions and stated that his bowlers should use slower balls on the wicket. In statements to the stations, he explained:

“I think the surface is double paced, especially for the fast bowlers. We can use cutters well on this wicket. The spinners will try to bowl as much length as possible. I was just planning my innings, I was not thinking around the century (4 sixes). consecutive vs Markande) It wasn’t a plan, but I started well in that over, I was trying to maximize.

“When playing spinners, I try to maximize. Make as many runs in an over as I can, to keep the pressure on the bowler. I was also trying to maximize the fast bowler, but I will try that in the next match. (Advice to players bowling) On this wicket we must use good slower balls,” he concluded.
