How about we stick with cricket? -Vikram Solanki
“Someone told me that you celebrated your 50th birthday the other day. That’s not true, is it? You look young and slender,” Bhogle said.
“I’ll tell you what, Harsha, you have a couple of opportunities to raise some points on my behalf. How about we stick to cricket and talk about the guys out there?” said Vikram Solanki. Bhogle replied good-naturedly and said, “Indeed, we will. Thanks for joining us, Vikram.”

Former England cricketer Vikram Solanki has joined the GT as DOC since its inception in 2022. Before joining the Gujarat Titans, he was the head coach of Surrey CCC and had experience as an England and Worcestershire player. The former wicketkeeper batsman worked well with head coach Ashish Nehra and made it back to the IPL in the first season and also finished as a finalist in 2023.
GT won easily

GT came through the match thanks to half-centuries from their captain Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler, who scored 56 and 60 respectively. They won the match comfortably with one over and two balls to spare. It is the second consecutive victory for the Titans. Prasidh Krishna was the man of the match for his excellent bowling spell of 4/28 in four overs.
The way we bowled in the powerplay was very impressive – Shubman Gill
After the match, captain Gill praised his players, especially mentioning Prasidh and Rashid Khan. GT didn’t have the best start, losing the first two, but has now won two and has jumped to fifth position in the table.
Gill said during the post-match presentation: “The way we bowled the power play was very impressive and the way we kept the pressure on in the middle games was tremendous. [On Rashid Khan] It makes my life very easy, the way Rashid is bowling at the moment. “Get back into the game every time another player is under pressure.”
GT will take on last-placed Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at home at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on April 17. The match is scheduled to start at 7:30 pm IST.
