He climbed nine WICKETS in three games in the triumphant campaign of Champions Trophy 2025 of India.
The mysterious spinner of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Varun Chakravarthy, revealed that he has been working on new bowling tricks before the opening clash of the Premier League (IPL) 2025. KKR’s player believes that maintaining consistency is the “most difficult thing” in a great scenario as IPL, but is completely committed to achieve it.
“The main thing is to work on consistency, which is the most difficult to dominate and I am constantly working to achieve that,” he said in a statement.
The 33 -year -old added that he is now working on some new variations to get his game in the next edition of the IPL.
“Of course, I am working on some other deliveries that I hope they go well in the next games,” revealed the KKR Spinner.
The Kolkata franchise added to the team in 2020. Since then, the Spinner has been the team’s pillar with veteran Sunil Narine. This torque of rotating bowling was fundamental in the victorious campaign of KKR last year. It also became the second highest wickt player of the season with 21 chasing leather.
Varun when playing against RCB
According to ESPN Cricinfo, Varun has climbed 14 WICKETS in 10 games against RCB in an economy of 6.79 while maintaining an average of 18.28. His heroicas include an impressive Tres Wickt tour in 2023 at the Chinnaswamy stadium to steal a victory for KKR by 21 races.
While talking about achieving success against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), the player put aside the lucky factor. He said he simply took advantage of the situations of favorable matches that helped him make the best of them.
“Nothing specifically, only the situation of those games that helped me choose Wickts. In all those games, conditions and situations were completely favorable towards us, so I could extract the best possible result,” Varun said.

He believes that defenders have organized a strong team of the Mega Auction. According to him, if they could “decipher the code” at the beginning of the season, they could have greater chances of defending their title.
“The squad looks good. I think it is about deciphering the code and making the best game Xi work consistently. If we can obtain a nucleus established in the first three games, then we have great opportunities ahead this season,” the row explained.
