The eighth edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL 2024) is all set to enthrall Indian cricket fans in July. The TNPL 2024 kicks off on Friday, July 7 with the opening match between Lyca Kovai Kings and Chepaul Gilliers.
The opening match of the TNPL 2024 will be held at the SCF Cricket Ground in the city of Salem, Tamil Nadu. The venue will also host the first nine matches of the franchise T20 league. A total of 8 teams are part of the tournament this season.
They are Lyca Kovai Kings, Chepauk Super Gillies, Dindigul Dragons, Trichy Grand Cholas, Salem Spartans, Siechem Madurai Panthers, Nellai Royal Kings and IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans.
Kavai Kings are the defending champions from last season who beat Nellai Royal Kings in the final by 104 runs to lift the title. It is noteworthy that the most successful team in TNPL history is Chepauk Super Gillies with 4 titles in 7 seasons.

TNPL 2024 Live Streaming in India
The TNPL 2024 will feature a total of 32 matches from July 5 to 28. Star Sports Network is the official broadcaster of the Tamil Nadu Premier League in India. All the matches will be telecast live on Star Sports channels – Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 Tamil Channels.
The live stream will be available on the FanCode app and website. However, fans need a premium package to enjoy the live stream on the app. Fans can purchase monthly or tournament-respective packages on FanCode.
