USA FORM: CREATING HISTORY
The United States’ T20 side is genuinely quite good. There was something stirring before the tournament with their series defeat of Bangladesh and their squad boasts experience such as Corey Anderson but they head into the final two matches, against India and Ireland, knowing a victory will see them through to the Super 8’s after their excellent chase of Canada on opening day and then a super over win against Pakistan in which they were the better side in all three disciplines.

INDIA FORM: UP AND RUNNING
India came into the tournament as the favourites and they have eased themselves to two victories, albeit they did have a major scare in their second win against arch-rivals Pakistan at the weekend. The Indians were bowled out for 120 in 19 overs but the excellence of Jasprit Bumrah helped them defend the target a few days after they comfortably defeated Ireland to mean they are also cruising through to the next phase of the tournament.

USA BETTING ANALYSIS
The absolute star performer for the United States in this tournament so far has been Aaron Jones. He hit 94 against Canada in their opening game victory down in Texas before 36 not out took the USA through to their super over win against Pakistan, where he scored all 11 of the USA’s runs off the bat in that. Given that form, and the fact he may well avoid the likes of Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah, coming in at four, backing him, once again, to be their top batter (11/2) would appear good value.
The US are playing their first game in New York, away from the higher scoring surface of the Grand Prairie down in Texas. Whilst that may affect their batting, it also means their dangerous bowlers, such as Nosthush Kenjige, Saurabh Netravalkar and Ali Khan, will come into the game. The excellent performance of Netravalkar, particularly in the super over, means him being their best bowler in the match (4/1) is another good bet.
INDIA BETTING ANALYSIS
Virat Kohli has been moved up to open the batting in this match and, whilst Rishabh Pant was the only man to show any sort of touch in the game with Pakistan on either side, he will be essential on this New York pitch. Regardless of whether India bat first or chase, the skill and touch players tend to come to the top in games like this on decks like this where 110 is defendable so Kohli to be the top batter in the match (3/1) seems like a good shot.
As for the bowling, as mentioned it was Jasprit Bumrah that was the point of difference against Pakistan. India stacked their squad with spinners ahead of the squad but Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja managed just four overs between them against Pakistan. That means, once again, backing Bumrah to pick up at least two of the American wickets (8/15) is likely.
USA VS INDIA EXPERT PREDICTION
As mentioned, the scores at the Nassau International Cricket Stadium in New York have been low but it has made for tense and gripping cricket. The United States have hitting power and some really skilful bowlers but, without being too blunt about it, India are India. They were not convincing against Pakistan but have an array of world class stars that mean they could and probably should win any game they play in.
