Former Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal has made another brain-fading statement about his brother Umar Akmal being better than Virat Kohli.
It was only earlier this week that Kamran Akmal had to apologize for his comments about Arshdeep Singh while commentating at the IND-PAK final in New York. His former Indian rival Harbhajan Singh called him out on X (formerly Twitter), after which Akmal took to the social media platform and made an apology tweet.
Barely four days after his plea to Harbhajan Singh, Kamran Akmal has now taken digs at Virat Kohli by comparing him to his younger brother. He made this statement once again in a studio of a local news channel and this is surely the worst version of him from the former Indian captain.
Kamran Akmal says Pakistan has no better PR influence than Virat Kohli
While talking to ARY News, Kamran Akmal claimed that he got some exclusive statistics that support that his younger brother is better than Kohli in T20 WCs. The former batsman admitted that Umar is as good as Kohli’s little finger due to the latter’s stardom and consistent performances by him, but it is his brother who has a better strike rate and even more runs.
This seems a bit strange because Virat Kohli stands at the top as the highest run-scorer in the history of the T20 World Cup. But Kamran says Umar Akmal has more runs and to put it plainly, he has 486 runs in 20 T20 World Cup matches. Kohli, of course, has more longevity than Akmal and has so far scored 1146 runs in 10 more matches.
Strike rate is the only parameter in which Umar Akmal is better, but it is not even that colossal. Kamran Akmal further said that Umar’s statistics are not as widespread because he does not have as good PR media as Virat Kohli.
“I had the stats yesterday, I am talking about Virat Kohli Umar’s (Akmal) T20 World Cup stats. And Umar is actually only equal to Virat’s little finger because of his performance and stardom. (He) has a better rate attack than Virat Kohli and has also scored more runs, but we don’t have PR media and we don’t spread our statistics on social media. – said Kamran Akmal via ARY News.

Kamran says Umar could have caused explosion in 2024 T20 World Cup
While bridging praises for his brother, Kamran admitted that Umar Akram would have been an explosive addition to the Pakistan team. That catastrophe would have occurred if he had been part of the 15 men led by Babar Azam in the United States and the West Indies.
