There are very few cricketers in the world who are as animated as Virat Kohli while on the cricket field. The former Indian captain wears his heart on his sleeve and rarely shy away from expressing his feelings on the field.
Virat Kohli was back at his spirited best on Wednesday (May 22) as Royal Challengers Bengaluru took on Rajasthan Royals in the ongoing IPL 2024 Qualifiers, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
As things were not going very well for RCB with the ball, Virat Kohli couldn’t help but express his frustration on the field. One such incident took place when Yash Dayal was bowling the 17th over of the game. RR needed 30 runs in the last four overs and the left-arm pacer needed to put in an extraordinary effort to revive the team’s hopes from him.

He started well by conceding two singles in the first two deliveries before being hit for two fours in a row by Shimron Hetmyer. Those two fours effectively ended RCB’s slim chances of winning the game and Virat Kohli just couldn’t help but show his frustration.
A visibly furious Kohli was seen saying something angrily to the substitute players before angrily hitting a bottle on the field.
Watch Virat Kohli lose his cool:
Harsha Bhogle
Yesterday I witnessed Virat Kohli abusing Yash Dayal during the last few overs. It was very pathetic behavior on his part. There is a reason why all youngsters prefer MS Dhoni over Kohli. He should learn from MSD how to treat youngsters#CSKvsRCB

Talking about the game, RR thrashed RCB by four wickets to qualify for the second qualifier and eliminated the latter from IPL 2024. When asked to bat first, RCB finished their innings with 172 for 8. In response, RR chased down the total in 19. overs to set up a clash with Sunrisers Hyderabad. The winner of the second qualifier will play Kolkata Knight Riders in the final on Sunday (May 22).
While RCB failed to go all the way this season, Virat Kohli has had a memorable campaign with the bat. He is currently the leading run scorer in IPL 2024 and is the only batsman with more than 600 runs this season. In 15 games, Kohli scored 741 runs with the help of one century and five half-centuries.
