Veteran English leg-spinner Adil Rashid recently ranked the best batsmen, fast bowlers and spin bowlers among active cricketers in international cricket teams. Adil Rashid placed Pakistan white-ball captain Babar Azam and fast bowler Shaheen Afridi at the bottom of their respective lists among his selections.
England star Adil Rashid is currently representing the Northern Superchargers in the 2024 Men’s Hundred tournament. Rashid has taken three wickets in five matches at an average of 34.66 and an economy rate of 7.80. The Northern Superchargers are currently fifth in the eight-team table with six points to their name.
Adil Rashid has represented the England cricket team in 19 Tests, 135 ODIs and 114 T20 Internationals in his career. He has taken 60 wickets in Tests, 199 wickets in ODIs and 120 wickets in T20Is. The star bowler was part of England’s ODI World Cup victory in 2019 and T20 World Cup-winning campaign in 2022.
England team, led by Jos Buttler, suffered a 68-run defeat to India in the semi-final of the 2024 T20 World Cup. England will look to bounce back during a T20I series against Australia, which is scheduled to take place in September. Southampton, Cardiff and Manchester will host the three T20I matches against Australia.

In a viral video, Rashid was asked to rank the top five batsmen. Rashid placed Babar at the fifth spot when the host named Pakistan’s captain. He rated former Indian captain Virat Kohli at the top of the list, followed by England’s Joe Root, Australia’s Steve Smith and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson.

Asked about fast bowlers, Rashid placed Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah at the top of his list. The right-hander ranked his English teammate Jofra Archer at second place and Shaheen Afridi at the last spot. He placed New Zealander Trent Boult at third place and Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc at fourth place.

Adil Rashid also ranked the best spin bowlers in the same video. The veteran England cricketer placed Indian left-handed wrist bowler Kuldeep Yadav in second place, followed by Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, Australia’s Adam Zampa and Pakistan’s Shadab Khan.

Adil Rashid will be back in action when the Northern Superchargers take on the Welsh Fire in the 21st match of the 2024 Men’s Hundred. The match will take place at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Thursday 8 August. The Welsh Fire currently sit sixth in the table, having won two of five matches.
