Stokes’ innings came to an unusual end when he charged towards Noman Ali, losing control of the bat in the process.

During the recently concluded PAK vs ENG second Test, England captain Ben Stokes was sent back to the pavilion in quite a dramatic manner.

Chasing 297 for a series-clinching 2-0 win, the visiting team found themselves in dire straits, losing 7 wickets and still needing over 160 runs to win.

Ben Stokes looked in good touch, having scored 37 off 36 balls as he battled against Pakistan’s bowling attack, following a series of early wickets.

However, his innings came to an unusual end when he charged down the field towards left-arm bowler Noman Ali, losing his grip on the bat in the process. This resulted in an easy defeat for Mohammad Rizwan.

Stokes’ dismissal went viral on social media for its humorous nature and also marked the fifth wicket of Noman Ali’s innings.

Pakistan save series with 1-1 draw; wins first home test in three years

Pakistan spinners Noman Ali and Sajid Khan exploited the pitch, putting relentless pressure on the England line-up. The visitors, who started at 36 for 2, quickly collapsed, losing Ollie Pope, Joe Root and Harry Brook, the triple centurion of the first Test, and falling to 78 for 5.

Surprisingly, only two Pakistani bowlers were used until the 32nd over of the second innings, with Noman and Sajid tearing through the England batting order. All-rounder Brydon Carse tried to offer some resistance, hitting three sixes in his 27, but he too was beaten by Noman Ali’s spin. Noman then claimed his seventh wicket by forcing an inside lead from Jack Leach, leaving England at 144 with their ninth wicket fallen.

Noman Ali’s remarkable performance saw him claim the first 10-wicket haul of his career in just his 16th Test, finishing with figures of 8 for 46. Shoaib Bashir was dismissed for a golden duck.

Pakistan eventually sealed a 152-run victory, marking their first Test victory at home in over three years.
