David Warner

Delhi Capitals (DC) batsman David Warner failed to make an impact with the bat in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The match between the two teams will be held at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

David Warner looked in good contact in the match against the Lucknow Super Giants. He played some magnificent shots for his team on top to create a great platform for his team in the chase. However, he suffered an unfortunate sending off in the match against the home team in Ekana.

David Warner passed away in the fourth over in the second innings against Lucknow Super Giants. The batsman crawled back to play the quick shot or turn, but was left tight in the room. The ball hit him on the back of the thigh, sending him flying upwards.

Unfortunately for him, the ball spun backwards and hit the stumps. The bail came off the leg. David Warner tried to push the ball but it was a little late and the batsman was completely shattered by the way he got out at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Here is the video:

David Warner couldn’t do much with the bat as he managed just 8 runs off 9 balls. His wicket saw Delhi Capitals lose their first wicket by just 24 runs. After getting out, Prithvi Shaw played brave innings with the bat and scored 32 runs off just 22 balls to help his team surpass 50 runs.

However, he could not continue as Ravi Bishnoi took him out. The onus now falls on captain Rishabh Pant and Jake Fraser-McGurk to lead their team to victory. The duo are batting well so far in the game and would be eager to lead their team to victory, in what will be their second win of the season.
