Rajasthan Royals (RR) young batsman Riyan Parag’s hard work has finally paid off as the all-rounder made his debut for the Indian National Cricket Team. The special moment came for him before the start of the first T20I against the Zimbabwe National Cricket Team on Saturday (July 6).
India will take on Zimbabwe in the first match of the five-match series at the Harare Sports Club in Harare. Shubman Gill has been given the responsibility of captaining the team in the ongoing series and it will be a great opportunity for all the youngsters who have been called up.
In the first T20I against Zimbabwe, India gave debuts to three players – Riyan Parag, Abhishek Sharma and Dhruv Jurel. It would have arguably been a dream moment for all three players, but it turned out to be even more special for the Rajasthan Royals all-rounder.
Riyan Parag was presented with his debut cap by his father Parag Das, a former first-class cricketer from Assam. The father-son duo looked extremely ecstatic and hugged each other as the young player received his India cap in the shortest format of the game.
