South African spinner Keshav Maharaj had a sensational outing on the field during the 2024 T20 World Cup final against the Indian national cricket team. The high-octane clash between the teams will take place at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, on Saturday (June 29).

Keshav Maharaj made an astonishing contribution for South Africa in the big match as he chipped in with the ball and with his effort on the field for his team. The bowler got his team back into the game when the Indian team had made a spectacular start, credit to Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

Keshav Maharaj picked two wickets in the single over and then turned things around for his team in the grand finale. It is fair to say that his two scalps in the second over of the match pushed India onto the defensive as they looked set for a total of around 200, especially with the kind of boundaries hit by Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

If this was not enough, Keshav Maharaj produced a sensational fielding effort on the last ball of the innings. The spinner took a brilliant catch to remove Ravindra Jadeja and saved important runs for his team, which could well prove to be the difference as the game progresses.

Anrich Nortje bowled a fuller delivery which was pitched outside off and angled away from Ravindra Jadeja. The all-rounder tried to go for it but got it on the outside half. They looped it in the air in front of extra cover where Keshav Maharaj came running in and took a sensational catch.
