Mayank Dagar castles Sunil Narine

The decision to open with Sunil Narine worked for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the ongoing match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Match 10 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will be held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

In the 182-run chase, Sunil Narine made sure to give his team a brutal start at the top. The left-hander showed no mercy to the RCB bowlers as he tried to hit almost every ball out of the park and put pressure on the opposition bowlers at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Sunil Narine came out firing and made sure to restore confidence in the team management. The left-hander seemed to have complete control of his innings and with the way he was batting, he needed something special to end the carnage of him at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Mayank Dagar raised his hand for the team and made sure to draw first blood for his team. The spinner produced a lightning bolt of 101.8 kmph, bowled the yorker length and stunned the Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers.

Sunil Narine failed to bring his bat down in time and the ball crashed into the base of the stump. His wicket powered the bowler and lifted the entire crowd at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Sunil Narine played his role to perfection and put pressure on Royal Challengers Bengaluru right from the start. The all-rounder was three runs short of his half-century, but his innings were worth gold. He finished with an innings of 47 runs off 22 balls.

The left-hander had a strike rate of around 215 and smashed two boundaries and five sixes in his innings. Sunil Narine along with Phil Salt ensured that KKR maximized the power play. The duo added 86 runs for the opening partnership.

While Sunil Narine stole the show with his power at the start, Phil Salt at the other end made sure to support his partner well. The wicketkeeper-batsman played some magnificent knocks in his innings and made sure to continue his golden touch in T20 cricket.

Phil Salt was all set for another half-century but his stay at the crease was interrupted by Vijaykumar Vyshak. The fast bowler bowled a long ball slanted backwards. Phil Salt tried to pull him out, but found a man in the deep. Cameron Green moved to his left from deep square leg and took an easy catch.

Phil Salt finished with an innings of 30 runs off 20 balls. He batted with a strike rate of 150 and also hit 2 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. His wicket saw Kolkata Knight Riders reduced to 92/8 in 8 overs. But captain Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer took full control of the innings and the visiting team now looks favorite to win the game.
