Giving up the prediction on the playing XI, Kaif stated that his one, two, three of his will be Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill while he would bring in Sarfaraz Khan at number four. Kaif stated that he is a brilliant player and that he plays very similar to English batsman Ollie Pope.
Mohammad Kaif predicted that Shreyas Iyer, KS Bharat and Axar Patel would be his numbers five, six and seven. Kaif brought in all-rounder Washington Sundar at number 8, due to his batting ability, while R Ashwin was his number nine. Kaif also brought in left-arm wrist bowler Kuldeep Yadav into the side as he brings a lot of variation. Jasprit Bumrah was Mohammad Kaif’s number 11.

Mohammad Kaif said: “I think Rohit Sharma, Jaiswal and Shubman Gill are at number three. Shubman Gill’s form is not that special but I will give him a chance, he is a promising player. Sarfaraz Khan will come at four, he is young, promising, he plays very well with spin bats like Ollie Pope does the reverse sweep very well, I will keep him at four.
“I will bring Shreyas Iyer at 5, KS Bharat at 6, Axar Patel at 7 and Washington Sundar at 8, he is an all-rounder, with spin and bats. Ashwin will come at 9, Kuldeep Yadav at 10, Chinese leg spin variation and Bumrah will come at 11.
“These are your 4 proper spinners and one fast bowler, I have excluded Siraj. He didn’t bowl as much in the last match. Batting up to 9, 4 proper spinners and 1 fast bowler, this seems like a very strong team to me.”
