Dhoni, in an emotional speech after the IPL 2023 final, promised to come back and play one more season for Indian fans and CSK fans. CSK signed him before the IPL 2024 auction, which was a sign that he will indeed return for one more season.

But with the amount of love and affection that has been shown to me wherever I have been this year, the easy thing would be for me to say “thank you very much”, but the difficult thing for me is to work hard for another nine months and come back and play at least one more season. of the IPL. CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan also confirmed that Dhoni will return to play IPL 2024. Viswanathan said that Dhoni does not go back on his word and that he is fit after the surgery and will lead the five-time champions once again.

“If our leader has given a word, he has never gone back. He already told what he planned to do in that interview. I am sure that knowing MS, he will always do what he has committed to do.
