Team India got off to a perfect start under Mukesh Kumar after scoring 234/2 with the bat after winning the toss and batting first in the second T20I in Harare on Sunday.
India, thanks to Abhishek Sharma’s 100 in 47 balls, posted a mammoth score. Scores from Rinku Singh (48*) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (77*) added further strength to the final Indian score.
Zimbabwe, chasing 235 to win, lost to opener Innocent Kaia in the first over. Mukesh Kumar broke through his defence by bowling a perfect inswinger that went between his pad and bat and touched the stumps. He was also dismissed in an almost identical fashion by Mukesh in the first T20I on Saturday.
