India fast bowler Mukesh Kumar recently tied the knot with Divya Singh in a private and intimate wedding ceremony in Gorakhpur. Earlier in February this year, he had gotten engaged to Divya Singh. The wedding took place on November 28 when Team India participated in a five-match T20I series against Australia.
The right-arm pacer played the first two matches of the series before missing the third after the BCCI granted him permission for the wedding. Soon after the wedding, he joined the Indian team for the fourth and fifth T20Is. While he failed to get any wicket in the fourth game, he took 3 wickets in the fifth game in Bengaluru to help India win the game by 20 runs and clinch the series with a margin of 4-1.
After the final T20I, he returned home to attend the reception ceremony. During the event, she gave a humorous response when reporters asked her about her married life. The cricketer used cricket-related terms to describe her marital experience, leaving everyone divided.
“It feels good. I have started a new chapter with the one who has been with me since the beginning. Match bhi aage acha khelunga mai inke sath (I hope to play well in the next match with your support),” said Mukesh Kumar, leaving reporters and his wife divided.

During the interaction, journalists also asked Mukesh Kumar about the upcoming South Africa tour. He has been chosen in all three teams for this challenging tour. India is scheduled to play three T20Is, three ODIs and two Tests in South Africa.
“Preparations are being made for it. All our coaches will meet tomorrow in Bangalore and from there we will take a flight. In South Africa we will decide our strategy, evaluate the pitch and conditions and gather information on what each player is doing. After that we will play the match,” Mukesh Kumar said.
