Rishabh Pant, on Friday (April 12), led his Delhi Capitals team from the front to put them in a commanding position in the ongoing game against Lucknow Super Giants at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow .

The keeper-batsman came out to bat when DC was in a precarious position after Prithvi Shaw was dismissed in the seventh over. DC made 63 for 2 while chasing 168. Against an opposition that is known for defending totals, DC needed their captain to deliver and he did not disappoint.

He and debutant Jake Fraser-McGurk shared a crucial 77-run stand for the third wicket to put DC in the driving seat. Naveen-ul-Haq broke the position by dismissing Fraser-McGurk. The young Australian departed after scoring 55 runs off 35 balls with the help of two fours and five sixes.

Six runs after his dismissal, Rishabh Pant was also dismissed. The DC captain was stumped by KL Rahul when he danced down the court against Ravi Bishnoi to play a great shot. The left-hander departed after scoring a crucial 41 runs off just 24 balls.

He played some brilliant shots during his knock and one of those shots has become the talk of the town. The shot came against Marcus Stoinis in the 12th over.

On the fourth ball of the over, the LSG all-rounder bowled a slower delivery outside off stump and Rishabh Pant took the reverse ramp to hit the ball over the third-man short fielder for a four. The Indian star had played a similar shot against England great James Anderson during the 2021 Ahmedabad Test.
