Indian captain Rohit Sharma became enraged at Sarfaraz Khan and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who were returning to the dressing room on Day 4 of the third Test match. After the end of the 97th innings, when the drinks break ended, the players started returning to the pavilion, Indian batsmen Jaiswal and Sarfaraz also started walking back to the dressing room along with the other players. Both players thought Rohit had declared the innings but he didn’t.
As Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sarfaraz Khan started returning to the dressing room, Rohit Sharma sent them back and became furious. Rohit gestured to the players he had not declared and asked them to play. However, just once after the incident, Rohit declared the innings and set the Three Lions a target of 557 runs to chase in the remaining 4th and 5th.

Yashasvi Jaiswal turned out to be the star of the show for India during the second innings. Jaiswal smashed his second double century of the series. Jaiswal played an innings of 209 runs in the second Test match played in Visakhapatnam. Yashasvi remained unbeaten with 214 runs off 236 balls in the second innings of the third Test and smashed 14 fours and 12 sixes during his stay at the crease. On the other hand, Sarfaraz Khan also played a brilliant hand of 68 runs off 72 balls and put together a partnership of 172 runs off just 158 balls for the fifth wicket.
The partnership ensured that India’s lead crossed the 500-run mark and also gave them a chance to strengthen their chances of winning the game.
Yashasvi Jaiswal has been the biggest positive for India in the first three Tests of the IND vs ENG Test series. The batsman has shown immense talent and caliber to hit daddy hundreds with a rapid scoring rate. He chases the bowler from the first ball of the innings and never allows him to settle down. Furthermore, it gives the Indian management the left-footed advantage of him, which also makes it difficult for players to play against him. Yashasvi Jaiswal takes the pressure off his teammate due to his aggressive cricket display and allows them to score runs more freely.
Apart from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan is also a major talking point in the IND vs ENG third Test match. But while Rohit scored a century in the first innings of the third Test, Gill scored a ton in the second Test match.
The Indian management made the right decision by selecting Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan over Shreyas Iyer and KS Bharat, although the hosts used their full batting potential in the third Test.
