On Day 1 of the 5th Test at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala, Rohit Sharma did an exceptional job as captain and was excellent with his fielding and bowling changes.
Rohit Sharma’s masterclass combined with the dominance of Kuldeep Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin meant the Three Lions failed to put a big score on the board.

After packing the visitors for a low score, Indian openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma came to bat and the duo made sure to give India a good start to the innings.
Both players batted with positive intent and punished the bowlers from time to time to stay ahead in the game. Rohit and Jaiswal scored fantastic half-centuries and added 104 runs in 124 balls for the opening partnership.
The Indian skipper hit some beautiful boundaries during his stay in the middle on Day 1, but the one that caught fans’ attention was his excellent shot off fast pacer Mark Wood.
