Rohit Sharma saves Sarfaraz Khan from suffering an injury

Crucial advice from Indian National Cricket Team captain Rohit Sharma which he gave in the fourth Test match helped young batsman Sarfaraz Khan escape a possible career-ending injury in the fifth and final Test of the series against the England national cricket team.

Mumbai batsman Sarfaraz Khan has been called up for the Indian Test after toiling in domestic cricket for years. He continued to perform sensationally in the Ranji Trophy for a long period of time before finally getting the opportunity to represent India at the international level.

The youngster’s brilliant career statistics combined with the absence and decline in form of key batsmen meant that Sarfaraz Khan entered the Indian XI in the Rajkot Test against the England national cricket team.

The right-handed batsman made an instant impact with his performances in the debut match and smashed over fifty runs in both innings. In the first innings, he looked set for a century on debut but was unfortunately run out with a score of 62. In the next innings, he once again looked comfortable in the middle and scored an unbeaten 68 runs.

In his second Test match, Sarfaraz Khan received a warning from his captain Rohit Sharma while playing on Sunday.

The youngster attempted a risky fielding maneuver at the silly spot without a helmet on day 3 of the final session. Watching this move of the youngster, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said “Hey brother, I don’t want to become a hero.” and told him to ask for a helmet from the bench. On-field umpire Kumar Dharmasena also intervened saying, ‘No, you can’t do that,’ informing that helmet is mandatory for close fielders. Watch the clip here:
