Punjab Kings (PBKS) batsman Shashank Singh has not gotten over the pain of a narrow loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in game 23 of the ongoing IPL 2024 on Tuesday, April 8.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) thrashed Punjab Kings (PBKS) by two runs in a thrilling IPL 2024 encounter at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur. In this PBKS thriller against SRH, Shashank Singh performed exceptionally well with the bat but in vain.

Batting at number 6, the right-handed batsman played a sensational knock of 46 unbeaten balls, combined with six fours and a six, but could not take PBKS over the line as they chased 183 for a win against SRH at the International Stadium Cricket Maharaja Yadavindra Singh.

Apart from Shashank, Sam Curran (29), Sikandar Raza (28) and Ashutosh Sharma (33*) managed to cross the 20+ mark while others failed as SRH registered a narrow two-run victory in the match. For SRH, Nitish Kumar Reddy was the hero, both with bat and ball, against PBKS.

Meanwhile, a short clip is currently doing the rounds on social media, where PBKS batsman Shashank Singh can be seen heartbroken as he could not achieve a win for his team against SRH. In the clip, the star batsman looked really disappointed while trying to take a shot.

But it was the pain on his face at losing the game to SRH that caught the attention of fans, with many saying that he would play for India in the future. Maybe he was thinking that if he had played one of those shots harder, then his Punjab team could have won the game as it was only a matter of two runs.
