Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders will lock horns in the 51st match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) at the Wankhede Stadium on Friday (May 3).

It will be the first meeting between the two teams this season. KKR currently sit in second place on the points table with 6 wins from nine games and will be looking for another win to bolster their playoff chances. MI, on the other hand, are virtually out of the playoff race having managed to win just three of their 10 league matches so far.

MI, currently languishing in ninth place in the points table, will also be looking for a much-needed win to stay alive in the competition. While the chances of advancing to the next phase are extremely low, the five-time champions are still mathematically alive in the tournament.

One of MI’s key players in the upcoming game will be Suryakumar Yadav. The star batsman has hit two half-centuries in IPL 2024 so far but has struggled for consistency. While only time will tell how Suryakumar Yadav performs against KKR, he has already caught everyone’s attention by doing the unthinkable – making Sunil Narine smile.

It doesn’t matter what the situation is on the field. The KKR star barely smiles. However, his former KKR teammate Suryakumar Yadav managed to leave him in splits by replicating his century celebration. The video of the brilliant moment was published by the official account of the Mumbai Indians on social networks.

Sunil Narine had scored his first IPL century earlier this season, achieving the feat against Rajasthan Royals. However, he had a very subtle reaction to the monumental feat. And when Suryakumar Yadav replicated that celebration, Sunil Narine burst out laughing. The former IPL teammates also shared a warm hug.

Watch how Suryakumar Yadav leaves Sunil Narine in splits:

Unlike Suryakumar, Sunil Narine has been in impressive form this season and has performed consistently with both bat and ball. He has scored 372 runs with the help of one century and two half-centuries, besides picking up 11 wickets. He is KKR’s second-highest run-scorer and joint-leading wicket-taker in IPL 2024.
